Located a bit away from the center, a taxi is needed to go anywhere. The breakfast was great, and the staff at reception were helpful and friendly. The pool area was enjoyable, and the gardens provided a sense of calm and peace.
Internet is slow and has interruptions.

We were amazed by the generosity and kindness of the staff at Bayete Guest Lodge. The gardens are incredibly beautiful, providing a peaceful oasis away from the touristy areas. The meals overlooking the gardens and pool were a treat for our senses. The food itself was simply wonderful. Despite the occasional power outages in the country, the lodge had a backup generator, ensuring that we never experienced a loss of electricity during our stay. The overall atmosphere and ambiance of the lodge were exactly what we needed to start and end our trip on a high note.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. the location was perfect, close to all the attractions but also peaceful. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, arranging activities and transfers for me. the room was spacious and comfortable, with a heavenly shower. the lush green garden and big pool were the highlights, providing a great place to relax. the restaurant served delicious food, and the bar offered a wide variety of drinks at reasonable prices.
The only slight issue was that the bathroom was not separated from the bedroom, which could be a bit uncomfortable at times.

The staff at Bayete Guest Lodge were incredibly helpful and accommodating during our stay. We had specific dietary restrictions, and they went above and beyond to ensure that our meals were suitable for our needs. The bar had a great selection of drinks, and the small swimming pool area was a lovely spot to relax. We also enjoyed exploring the local town, where we found a variety of local artisans and even had a bespoke item made by Alice at the fabric store. The reception staff were also very helpful in assisting us with excursions and local transportation.

Some guests had a negative experience with theft during one of the activities arranged through the hotel, and the manager did not display empathy or provide appropriate assistance in this situation.

Beautiful property by a creek, near Franschhoek. Not walkable at night. Infinity pool is stunning, although too cold to use. Top-notch made-to-order breakfast. Spacious, excellently designed rooms. Inviting common areas and lovely host.
